A Bit of an Update, and Some Positive Gains!

When last I posted, my chief concern was the possibility that the local Council on Aging and Disability might be considering removing me from their client list. That could put a big stick in my spokes, so I spent some time on the phone with the supervisor of my case at the Council. I think she’s a decent sort, one who recognizes the inherent flaws in the system and who like many is trying to change things for the better from within.

Apart from the alarm in her voice at finding I’d heard about these ‘budget cuts’ and querying me about my sources…which I respectfully declined to answer; no journalist reveals his/her sources…it was an interesting and somewhat reassuring talk.

My supervisor assured me that while the Council is indeed under all kinds of pressure to cut costs and minimize outlays, a person with as legitimate a need as mine for the services they provide, especially at the minimal level I use, need not worry about being removed. Yes, they’re cutting costs and taking a good hard look at each case to assure that obvious players who are gaming the system and don’t actually need help are removed, there aren’t any plans to remove me.

That’s good news, but it doesn’t change the fact that the vast empire of debt and death (as Chris Duane aptly puts it) is collapsing, the dollar is fast losing its status as the world’s reserve currency, and sooner or later I will be left to fend for myself as it falls apart.

I’m glad the urgency is reduced, but it also doesn’t change the fact that I just won’t be physically able to fend for myself until my liberty of movement’s restored. I try and keep as upbeat as possible, but I confess this confinmement is doing me damage. I am well aware that I have some of the best friends and allies trying to help me get free, but there are times when I have to fight off periods of despair as  my life continues to bleed out, never to be regained. Then, too, there’s the frustration that I’m certain that I can make a difference even in a minor way…once I’m released. The to-do list of things I feel compelled to address, from establishing a dynamic relationship with the local county sheriff’s office, to following up on essays I’ve written, to confronting politicians and functionaries at the state Capitol and nearby counties, grows all the time.

Being human, the bleak reality does at times threaten to overwhelm me, I confess, especially in the quiet watches of the night when I’m alone with my thoughts. These moments pass sooner or later, and I often remind myself that I’m most definitely not alone in this, that hundreds of people of good will have contributed…and more are coming as I can reach them. Patience is something I’m learning more about all the time, and remembering that all the good I’ve seen so far is sure no fluke, especially since my appeal to the public is completely voluntary and no one owes me a thing…yet they choose freely to help. THAT is a big comfort.

Still, I have to remind everyone that the job’s not done yet. But apart from any altruistic impulses I’m giving donors an outlet for, there’s plenty of quid pro quo to help persuade the public to help thanks to the wonderful musical talents who’ve provided their creations to include in the thank-you package for everyone donating $4 or more, and April Reigne is contributing another copy of the Constitutional cases and materials book for the next Grand Prize drawing in a month or thereabouts. Brian Shadis’ superb work in crafting the above banner graphic makes it all more eye catching…thank you, Brian!…so no matter that I may get bummed from time to time, I know in my heart this effort’s going to succeed. Hey, it’s my life here, and as the cliche goes, ‘failure is not an option!’

New Challenge…and a Threat.

The July challenge ended last night, a disappointingly low number of donors but they’ll all be getting the thank you package, a zip file with the four original songs listed in my original post on the Challenge plus a small thank you note I put together. We held the drawing for the winner of the Constitution cases and materials book live on WeROAR, congratulations to the generous donor and winner Franklin!

We’ll be running another challenge, I’m not yet sure of how long precisely yet, but all details will be provided here and you can be assured all of the donors will be kept on record. I gotta tell you, this time I really hope we complete the goal, since there’s been a new development. One that can threaten my life along with my 75 year old mom’s.

You see, for the past several years I’ve been dependent on the Greater Nashville Regional Council Area Agency on Aging & Disability to provide a helper every week to do light housekeeping and more importantly, grocery shopping and pharmacy pickups. Now the word through the grapevine is that they’re planning to wipe me off their rolls soon, precisely why I’m not sure.

But the fact is that not only is my life in limbo, I can’t get out to do all of those thousands of things healthy people do, and of course can’t interact with the public to promote liberty in public, not to mention doing what I can to out unconstitutional acts and corruption on the part of politicians…but now my one link to food and medecine is being threatened. My mom at 75 has never fully recovered from the fall she took at her last job that took her out of the workforce and left her in constant leg, hip and foot pain, so since she isn’t driving either, the loss of the home help threatens her as directly as it does me. It’s ironic, while I subsist on permanent disability income, I’m still very much a taxpayer, from property taxes to all the other sales taxes and fees that all of you are stuck with. It looks like while the City of Nashville will still be happy to take those monies from me, the benefit will be going to someone else.

I didn’t like it in my healthy days, so you can imagine how I feel now that I’ve become dependent on the help I’ve paid for for years, and am still paying for…help that may be whisked away at some faceless bureaucrat’s whim.

Now, please, is the most critical time to finish this fundraising project. Along with all those things I haven’t been able to do, now if the home help is withdrawn I’ll have no way to put food on the table. Details will follow as I learn more.

Good Idea I Never Thought Of!

Thanks to Brian Shadis and April Reigne, I now have this cool graphic to use as my cover photo on Facebook. Pretty hard to miss, even for the most determined skimmer! Thanks, you two. This is nicely done.

The Challenge!

My good friend April Reigne, operator of my favorite liberty hangout WeROAR, just launched a new fundraising challenge to finish this site’s primary mission…getting me mobile again!

here are the ground rules for this challenge:

1) This event will run for a full month, from now THROUGH July 4.

Just so we’re clear, should for any reason the goal of raising the final $20,000 not be met during this time period, the fundraiser I began almost 2 years ago will continue…this is not some ‘nice to accomplish’ project, it’s about my LIFE being restored. Let’s not have any misunderstandings like last year when I was dumb enough to put a deadline on my first Indiegogo campaign, please…I am NOT giving up until this is done, I’m not going anywhere, and I ain’t shutting up. I don’t want to annoy folks, but if it was your life in limbo, I expect you’d feel the same way. Here we go:

1) ALL donors contributing at least $4 (four FRN dollars) to ‘Get Glenn Mobile’ will receive a thank-you email with a link to the Thank You Package of FOUR original songs donated by the artists who created them. These are:
a) ‘Make a YouTube Video’ by Tatiana Moroz
b) ‘No Reason’ by Coulston Miller
c) ‘Soul’s Cry’ by Dan Hagen
d) ‘Black Snake Moan’ by Blooded the Brave

2) All donors eligible for the Thank You Package will have their name/email entered in a drawing for the grand prize, a gorgeous hardbound edition of ‘The American Constitution: Cases and Materials’ as shown in April’s video, and can be summarized thusly:

“One of the very few constitutional law course books that still devotes significant space to constitutional-criminal procedure (e.g., search and seizure, right to counsel, police interrogation and confessions). This The American Constitution: Cases and Materials casebook also contains a substantial section on the death penalty and related problems. Designed for those in a criminal procedure class that also includes the standard components of a constitutional law course, such as the right of privacy (or “autonomy” or “personhood”), freedom of expression and freedom of religion, federalism and separation of powers.”

My thanks to April for setting up this challenge, I think we have an excellent shot at finishing the job this round. By making that donation, apart from doing a decent thing to help correct the unjust situation that’s kept me a housebound prisoner for FOUR YEARS now, with the cool music goodies and a chance to win a lovely…and valuable…reference book that any Constitutional scholar would be proud to have in their library, well…

Whaddaya Say We Wrap This Up?

GGM vid

I am delighted and moved to announce that my friend April Reigne from WeROAR has put together an event to conclude this fundraising business, and with some help from my friends in general, but especially in Oathkeepers and the Tenth Amendment Center, we’re going to do just that!

With prizes and perks for thoughtful donors to add some incentive, I think we have a strong likelihood of finishing this part of the adventure, feeing me, and letting me get back to the land of the living to help spread the word about liberty, call out oathbreaking politicians and functionaries, and get my life back in gear.

How about it folks? Many people over the past year and change have already put over $10,000 in the coffers…can we count on a little help from the newcomers this event will attract, please? Join me and my allies here and let’s have some fun with it!

Out and About

Finally, after week after week of cruddy, rainy, cold and/or windy weather, I awoke from my nap just after dawn to find a lovely morning Out There.

Perfect flying weather, thought I, so I grabbed my trusty micro Aeronca Champ, my transmitter in its case with some freshly charged single cell batteries, and headed out. It wasn’t long before I felt the gusty breeze and saw the treetops tossing a bit that told me there would be no flying…a 1.3 ounce aircraft just doesn’t fare too well in a blustery wind, and given that it was my first outing of the season and I’m out of practice, I wasn’t about to risk injury to the plane.

No worries, I was out on a pretty day for the first time since late autumn. This was no time to squander it by returning home, so I pressed on to the bowling alley’s parking lot a mile away. Once in a great while the air warmed by the sun will counterbalance the system driving it to yield a net calming of the wind but today it only increased the wind’s velocity and the air’s instability. Big whoop…I was OUT, and it was glorious.

I spent an hour or so soaking up sunlight and feeling the free wind on my face, remembering that this was just a taste of what I’ll be able to experience once I’m freed from confinement. While there I experienced a reminder of why I like Tennessee so much; a nice older lady driving by stopped to inquire if all was well and if I needed any help. That’s honest human nature at work…she stopped because she wanted to, not because anyone had coerced or pushed her into doing so. Yet again I was confronted with another reminder that Americans are some of the most giving and helpful people around, giving the lie to our dismal coerced ‘charitable’ Welfare State that extracts resources from productive people at gunpoint to give itself the appearance of altruism, while even more wealth is stolen from ordinary people to continue America’s perpetual wars of aggression in the Warfare State.

This led me to thoughts of another captive, Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl, the American POW I’ve written about before. Does he have days like I did today from time to time on nice days in Afghanistan? Does he wonder when he’ll quit being used as a political pawn so he can go home and get on with his life? I feel a lot of affinity with Bowe; the circumstances couldn’t be more different, but with all of the parallels I can’t help feeling some empathy for a man who’s lost four years of his life to captivity.

Unjust imprisonment sucks, pure and simple. Americans to a great degree have been held captive by the many schemes, scams and other dirty work foisted upon them by the arrogant elites, even when they aren’t physically restrained as I’ve been. I really would like the opportunity to get out of my fix and do what I can to reverse these crimes against my fellows. I’m trying my best from my desk, but four years of being stuck is having its effect; without the ability to get to work facing these people and communicating with the public it’s slowing me down and draining more precious energy I can’t afford to waste. Some days I feel sludgy, almost as if I’m trying to swim in pudding.

I hope you’ll donate whatever you can spare to Get Glenn Mobile! and tell your friends this is a worthwhile and legitimate cause. Those endorsement videos by high profile academics, artists and veterans wouldn’t have come about if the people who made them had any doubts that I’ll be a whole lot more useful out in the dynamic world of the living than trapped here at home. I hope you’ll be persuaded as well…we’re over $10,000 of the way to achieving the goal, and the sooner it’s met, the sooner I’ll be able to get busy working towards liberty for all of us!

The Last American POW: Four Years’ Imprisonment In AFGHANISTAN?!?

A few days ago we had the pleasure of interviewing Earl Hayes, aka ‘LeeBirdification Hoot-Hoot’ of HOOT Radio– Honoring Our Outstanding Troops on the Freedom Finders internet radio show I’m privileged to co-host. The evening’s discussion centered on the story of Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl, an American Army soldier captured in Afghanistan in 2009.

This story got under my skin; not only has Bowe Bergdahl had his life hugely distorted by this captivity, but he’s been in this situation for the same amount of time I’ve been shut up in the house, four years. Now I certainly wouldn’t presume to compare my situation with his, but again we see someone who’s thus far lost four years of his life, something I do have a bit more experience with than the average person, and this story really resonated with me.

I’ll wager that Bergdahl is like so many of my friends at this point, used as part of the monolithic enforcement arm of our authoritarian government that’s directed by a relatively tiny cabal of banksters and corporate insiders when he likely signed up simply to try to do positive things for America. I don’t know his mind, but I’ll surmise that if he’s been apprised of the facts he’s feeling defrauded…and now abandoned in captivity…by these creeps.

During the interview it was made clear that Bergdahl’s Taliban captors are eager to release Bowe Bergdahl themselves, but surprise, surprise: the American government is the main obstacle in this. He’s become another strategic piece on the chessboard, something I have (fortunately) no experience with but imagine to be a dismal place to find oneself.

I’ve said it before, I don’t waste time bemoaning unfair situations, after all life is indeed unfair. Unjust is another matter, particularly when it’s needlessly so. I know I haven’t found much to be positive about regarding my own abandonment, and I just can’t imagine anyone coming away from an examination of Bowe’s situation feeling good.

I think Lee Birdification’s suggestion of making a lot of very public noise is a sound one and would encourage folks to call their representatives’ office(s) to let them know unambiguously that this situation just cannot stand. For myself, this is another of the many subjects I plan to discuss in person with my congressman and senators once this fundraiser succeeds, freeing me to get back to the world. You can help me do this by donating whatever you can spare here to help me achieve this goal. I’m seriously chafing at the bit to finish being a mendicant, get out and get the heck to work.

You might visit one of the provided links here as well if you’re inclined to do more right now yourself. The ongoing captivity of Bowe Bergdahl is yet another violation of what used to be a first principle for Americans…never leave a countryman behind.

To do so is unacceptable.

Upping the Ante

So, today we see multiple bombs going off at the Boston Marathon.

Also, earlier this week one of my fellow hosts at WeROAR was found dead. Details are sketchy, but he was 50ish and from what little I’ve gathered had no significant health issues. It may not mean a thing, may be pure coincidence, but from a totalitarian control freak’s perspective, it’s mighty damn convenient.

Folks, I’m still stuck here like a fly on flypaper. I’m not posting this stuff as a gimmick, but because I’m seriously creeped out. If there is a false flag op going on and a possible purge of loudmouths like me to take pressure off the goons, I’m easy meat.

PLEASE, can we get this fundraiser finished so I can at least reposition with my mom if necessary? I’m fully aware that no one owes me anything. I know a dietary change might well help me to some degree. But until I have the liberty that comes from the freedom of mobility, there isn’t a single thing I can do about any of it at the moment.

I’d like to keep pointing out the facts for the American people in an effort to better this country for everyone’s benefit…but right now I feel like I’m stuck on the railroad tracks with a train coming. I won’t be very effective at that task if it squashes me, and just at the moment I’m feeling mighty squashable. If you’ve considered donating even a small amount, and/or telling your friends about this project, NOW would be a really opportune time.

Thanks to all of you who’ve contributed in one way or another to Get Glenn Mobile! for your part in raising the over $10,000 in hand; now we just need to finish the job.

The New Media Paradigm At Work to Defeat the Zombies!

There are some real benefits to cohosting our Freedom Finders show on the WeROAR network. Last night Sgt. Donald Rutledge and I spent some time with Chris Nooner and crew of Altered, a new movie currently in production discussing the specifics of this new and fascinating project.

Now, just as with vampires, every knucklehead and his brother are pumping out zombie-themed movies and the subject’s been done to death. Happily there are occasional exceptions to all of the mediocrity floating around. With the hackneyed vampire motif, the outstanding 1987 film Near Dark comes to mind. No fangs, stupid getups, holy water and so on, but an awesome story of a traveling band of immortal killers, with a great cast and a truly original story line.

In this direction, Chris and company are making a film with a genuinely novel take on the subject of zombies. I’m really looking forward to seeing the finished product, and you can help by dropping a contribution in their Indiegogo fundraiser. As I said last night, the state of technology in the internet allows anyone to be in on what promises to be a classic movie in its early stages. Wouldn’t it be cool if you could go back in time and assist George Lucas as he made the original Star Wars film, or Ridley Scott when he made Alien?

Now you can. Of course I sure hope that while you’re at it, you’ll take a couple of minutes to donate to this campaign as well, or at least help spread the word about my efforts to get free of this stupid confinement that disability’s inflicted on me. As I wrote recently, the agorist way really works, and we can accomplish amazing things by not waiting for permission and acting ourselves peacefully and voluntarily, showing up the awful government method of coercive ‘charity,’ extracting resources from productive people at gunpoint, keeping the majority of those stolen resources, and letting a few crumbs fall in the general direction of where they’re needed. It’s harmful, anti-human, inefficient as hell, and needs to get left in the dustbin along with other historical failures.

I recommend that everyone who likes the high quality of many independent projects like this jump on board, help this terrific film get made and get me mobile at the same time…we can defeat the goons if we pull together and are willing to spend just a little time and money…it really does add up fast!

New Friend and Ally Sherry Peel Jackson Speaks Up to Help Free Me!

A few weeks ago, my partner in crime Sgt. Donald Rutledge and I were honored to have Sherry Peel Jackson, former IRS agent, political prisoner, and one of the stars of Aaron Russo’s excellent 2006 film ‘America: Freedom to Fascism’ join us as a guest on our Freedom Finders show on the WeROAR network.

Over the course of the interview, I described for her my ‘Get Glenn Mobile!’ fundraiser and asked Sherry if she’d be willing to endorse it as a high profile member of the liberty community, and I was delighted when she enthusiastically agreed. My first impulse was to simply use her words in a sound clip folks could hear on my ‘Welcome’ sticky post, but it occurred to me that it would have more impact if I took Tatiana Moroz’ advice to Make A YouTube Video, as expressed in her song by the same name. I dusted off my video editor and did just that. Thank you, Sherry, you’ve joined a growing number of thoughtful people helping me in my journey to get free of this awful confinement that’s gone on now for four years as soon as possible!

If you aren’t yet familiar with Ms. Jackson, you should know that she’s an ex-IRS agent who spent time as a political prisoner for her actions in opposing the fraudulent income tax, and was one of the stars of Aaron Russo’s excellent film America: Freedom to Fascism that examines that fraudulent income tax and its dreadful enforcement arm, the IRS, along with the biggest confidence scheme ever perpetrated on the American people, the Federal Reserve.

I consider this to be one of the most significant films ever made in its ability to help people understand the descent of America from industrial giant and beacon of freedom to the awful totalitarian state it’s become. This one’s a must-see, and if you haven’t yet seen it, I urge you in the strongest way I can to do so. You don’t even need to go looking for it, here’s the director’s cut that includes extra footage even I hadn’t seen before

Get ready…this film will propel you straight down the rabbit hole where you can see for yourself why we Americans (and most of the rest of the world’s people) are in such horrible danger:

Thanks so much, Sherry, you’re helping speed my escape from this nasty confinement inflicted upon me by disability, no question in my mind. As always, I ask readers to contribute any amount they can to help me make good my escape. You can be sure I’ll join the rest of the dynamic liberty movement once out, not because I feel obligated to the ones who’ve helped, but because I have to, for my sake as much as everyone else’s.

It’s getting dark out there, and we don’t have much time left if we mean to reverse this anti-human and dismal course we’ve been pushed into.
